coroutinesを使うと良いかもしれません。

導入されたversion

1.1(experimental)

1.2で非同期用のAPIが追加されるが、async/awaitの文法上の変更は無いとのこと。

サンプルコード

環境設定

• コマンドライン： -Xcoroutines=enabled オプションをつける
• Gradle: gradle.properties or local.properties で kotlin.coroutines=enableを設定
• Maven: -Xcoroutines=enable を設定
• IDE: quick-fix (Alt+Enter)かfacet optionsで編集可能(Project Structure -> Modules -> Your Module -> Compiler -> Coroutines (experimental))
